Dr Suresh Babu

Dr Suresh was a Gold Medallist in Radiology during his Medical School training. He completed his Advanced specialist Radiology training in the United Kingdom, earning his CCST (Certification of Completion of Specialist Training) from the Mersey Deanery, Liverpool, England. He then won a place on the prestigious Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the Vancouver General Hospital, Canada.

From 2005 to 2011, Dr. Suresh worked as a Consultant Vascular and Interventional Radiology at City Hospital, Birmingham United Kingdom, where he was instrumental in establishing Advanced Interventional Radiology (IR) services. During this time, he also ensured high clinical standards in the region by working as a Hospital Inspector with the Care Quality Commission, in Management as a Deputy Divisional Director, as a trainer as Clinical Tutor with the Royal College of Radiologists, and teaching as a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Birmingham.

In 2011, he moved to the newly built Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore eventually becoming Interventional Radiology (IR) Specialty Lead. He set up and developed the IR specialty over 14 years, introducing diverse IR procedures such as Tumour Ablation, Vertebroplasty, Carotid Artery Stenting, Arteriovenous malformation embolization, and Trauma Embolisation and stenting, tissue biopsy, biliary drainage, nephrostomies, ureteric stenting, Revascularisation Procedures, IVC Filter insertion/removal, Dialysis Fistula Management, Dialysis Catheter Management and spinal procedures like Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty, Discectomies and Nerve Root Injections.
